The measure of an education

The solution, really, is simple in thought but difficult in execution. Mahathir is right when he addresses the advantages of proficiency in the English language, and it is high time that correct focus is brought to bear upon the language, especially in regard to Science and Mathematics since the international language of communication in those disciplines is in fact English. This will improve our command of the language, allowing our students to be more competitive in the global workforce. This applies as well to vernacular schools, though an increased ability to be conversant in Bahasa will definitely benefit vernacular school products.

Flocking elsewhere to master English proficiency

The intention should not be to remove the privilege of the rich, but if education is an equaliser for the ones not as fortunate to rise to a higher level, then this is doing the very opposite. We are kicking them further down.

What diabolical logic is this? Why the need to exhibit such arrogance? Why must you insult us Malaysian citizens and parents, whose top priority is only to ensure the future well being of our children and this beloved country?
